Out and About

The Looe - Polperro area is the ideal base for touring and exploring the rest of Cornwall
and South Devon.

There are the National Trust properties of Lanhydrock, Cotehele, and Antony close by as
well as the world famous Eden project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Explore lush and mysterious gardens like Trebar, discover the Lizard, the southernmost tip of
Cornwall - nowhere is more than an hour or so away from Crumplehorn Cottages.

The vibrant city of Plymouth, the starting point of the Pilgrim Fathers, is 20 miles east
and is home to the National Marine Aquarium, the Theatre Royal and is access point to
Dartmoor.

Only 8 miles inland is the market town of Liskeard and beyond, Bodmin Moor, home of
Jamaica Inn, made famous by Daphne Du Maurier.

The area is a walkers paradise, with plenty of coastal/country walks. The South West Coastal path runs through both Looe and Polperro.
